About the role:

This role reports into the Group Head of Quality and partners with them to deliver Nomad Foods quality agenda to our network of 19 factories. The role will work closely with the local factory leads to influence and promote the standardization of best practice in product quality and safety.

You'll work closely with the supporting functions e.g. Engineering, Operations, HR, Health & Safety, New product development and actively reduce risk of conflict of interests, drive a risk based (consumer & brand) assessment with Product Incident management & support with Nomad Foods product Incident training.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the achievement of technical standard on site and contribute to the overall operational performance of each plant monitoring key safety, legal, sustainability and quality metrics.

Have a detailed understanding of SU Quality ways of working, through site visits and connections with the SU Quality teams. Map SU Quality processes against NF's ways of working (e.g. CoP) & support SU Quality teams development initiatives and delivery of training plans.

The role will be responsible for promoting a Product Safety culture within the business, take a proactive approach in driving Quality performance & agenda, plus being a change agent to step-change the ways-of-working in factory Quality teams.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure the Food Safety HACCP plan is adhered to at all times achieving an overall Product Quality score of 100% every day
  • Ensuring that all product quality standards are clear to all Operators, Senior Operators, Production Managers and Factory Managers and that "zero defects" is the required target
  • Customer feedback and complaints are addressed and that this is communicated on a weekly basis to the plant with trend analysis and improvement plans
  • Internal Audits - Ensure audits are carried out as per schedule and audit scores > 85% are achieved
  • Non-conforming Product - Ensure all non-conformances are dealt with adequately following internal processes to prevent future non-conformances

About you:

This successful individual will have experience implementing/maintaining BRC & IFS audit standards in a number of factories and have a good understanding of working in a matrixed organisation. We are looking for candidates who can build relationships with factory stakeholders, influence and work collaboratively.

  • BRC / IFS Qualifications
  • HACCP level 3 or 4
  • Problem solving skills
  • Collaborative team player
