Your New Role

In your new role as Reward Manager (Compensations & Benefits Manager), you will provide technical reward expertise to manage all elements of the organisation's approach to pay, pensions, and benefits. The role also includes undertaking pay modelling and providing calculations and analysis to inform pay decisions. You will work to ensure the organisation's offering is both competitive and fair. Your role will be a blend of operational and strategic responsibilities, including:

  • Providing technical reward advice to the HR Director to support strategic planning and strong operational reward management.
  • Accurate and timely modelling and analysis is provided to support strategic decision-making.
  • Taking part in and analysing external pay and benefits benchmarking.
  • A high volume of data analysis & modelling.
  • Leading on and delivering the annual salary review and performance pay process.
  • Overseeing statutory reporting to meet legislative requirements, including annual Gender & Ethnicity Pay Gap Reporting.
  • Managing supplier contracts and renewals, ensuring effective performance and value for money.
  • Overseeing pension arrangements.
  • Working closely with stakeholders, building long-lasting relationships.
  • Lead on the design, development and delivery of compensation and benefits projects as required.
  • 1 Direct report. (Reward Advisor).

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Significant, in-depth experience of compensation and benefits, with up-to-date market knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing pension schemes.
  • Significant experience in job evaluation and grading systems.
  • Highly numerate and analytical; able to manage data from a range of sources, undertake complex calculations in Excel and provide cost modelling and pay calculations.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, paired with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate/advanced excel skills (including pivot tables).
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of aligning reward policy and practices to business objectives.
