Purpose of the Position:
- Drive revenue into the business by maximizing the chargeable elements within every job and ensuring adherence to SLA agreements held with our customers.
- Ensure that every job completed by a member of the engineering team is completed accurately, with all parts added to the job and hours accurately reflecting the task undertaken.
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for customers requiring additional repairs, following up within agreed timescales to ensure Marshall Fleet Solutions is the chosen provider for these repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue by ensuring every job is completed accurately and all chargeable elements are passed to the customer.
- Ensure work is charged in line with agreed SLAs with our customers.
- Accurately charge for all travel times and attendance fees.
- Bill the correct work times for the tasks completed.
- Proactively follow up with customers requiring further repairs to complete a repair.
- Provide customers with accurate and timely estimates for additional work.
- Ensure the correct elements of the repair are added to contract maintenance, warranty, or recharged to the customer as appropriate.
- Closely manage customer VOR and update customers with the plan and timescales for repair.
- Provide feedback to the engineering team where mistakes are made or where processes can be improved.
- Provide an industry-leading customer experience by providing accurate information to the accounts team for timely invoicing.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional service to customers.
- Contribute to the team in achieving challenging financial objectives by taking every opportunity to upsell our service or part offerings.
Tasks:
- Check and rectify engineer's time clocking accuracy.
- Ensure accurate attendance fees or travel time are captured on the system.
- Ensure correct parts, consumables, and lubricants are added to the task.
- Send proforma to the customer to receive a purchase order number prior to repair.
- Check the customer purchase order number is attached to the job.
- Construct and send accurate estimates to customers for further repairs and follow up proactively.
- Pass rechargeable elements back to the customer with supporting information (e.g., photographs and itemized estimates).
- Ensure elements booked to contract maintenance are accurately charged to the customer or covered under warranty.
- Explore sympathetic contributions for units recently out of warranty.
- Ensure all relevant documentation or certification is added to the job and sent to the customer or made available on Marshall Vision.
- Check subcontracted work is completed correctly and costs are accurate.
- Work with NPAC to get parts sent to the required location on time for repairs.
- Create accurate and timely plans to manage vehicle downtime, recording this in IFS and communicating it to the customer.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Possess good commercial acumen and understand P&L.
- Be confident in dealing with customer issues or problems.
- Maintain an engaging and positive attitude.
- Have good computer skills and understand relevant software packages.
- Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- GCSE level education (essential).
- NVQ level qualification (desirable).
- Mechanical/engineering qualification (desirable).
- Experience in the transport refrigeration, tail lift industry with a good working knowledge of these products.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
