They are seeking an Accounts Manager who is passionate about client service and thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients and supervise a team of junior accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all their accounting needs are met with excellence and fostering strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of services.
- Work Planning & Allocation: Strategically plan client work and allocate tasks to team members, ensuring that the workload is appropriately matched to individual strengths and expertise.
- Training & Development: Lead the training and development initiatives for junior staff, helping to nurture the next generation of accounting professionals.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the production and review of month-end management accounts, VAT returns, FCA returns, year-end financial statements (including consolidations, FRS 102, IFRS), P11Ds, PSAs, corporation tax computations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Professional Certification: ACA/ACCA qualified preferred; however, candidates qualified by experience (QBE) will also be considered.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS standards.
- Industry: Needing someone to have previous experience in outsourcing or working for an accountancy firm/practise.
