We are looking for a Trainee Freight Forwarder for our client based in Bradford. In this role, you will learn how to manage shipments for customers from start to finish. This could include pricing, planning, speaking to agents, tracking and managing lost or damaged shipments.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and administration skills. This is a fast paced role where you will have multiple tasks to manage and deadlines to meet. To excel in this role, you will need excellent organisational skills and good attention to detail.
Main duties to include:
- Dealing with inbound queries from customers for quotations
- Pricing shipments, using tariffs set by carriers and agents
- Organise completion of correct paperwork, including customs entries
- Agree correct modes of transport, size of container etc
- Track shipments and update customers with any delays, damages or lost goods
- Manage customers and ensure repeat business
We are looking for:
- Experience within administration
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Someone who is organised and keen to learn
- Good MS Office skills
- Someone who keeps calm under pressure and can work to deadlines
In return you can expect:
- Salary £23k-£26k dep on experience
- Hours - 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
