The Workshop are delighted to be recruiting for a Bids & Tenders Assistant for a local Romsey design and build/construction company. Working with the MD your will be art of a small but vibrate company bespoke organisation.

We are looking for a Bid Assistant to join our team. This is a critical businesses role with a focus on administrative responsibilities. We're looking for the right person to fit into a small team and want to give equal opportunity to people from all walks of life, therefore we are open to considering both Full- and Part-time roles.

This role is perfect for someone looking to start their career in the construction industry.

What you will be doing as the Bids and Tenders Assistant

Creating tender/bid documents: (Construction/Property)

This is our proposal to prospective clients, containing all the information about what we will do, how we will do it, and why the client should work for us. Therefore, this is an essential part of showing the local community what the construction has to offer.

Researching and Screening for new opportunities:

Clients in both the public and private sector are always putting up new opportunities. It's the Bid Assistants job to search these databases for jobs that fit the construction companies profile.

Administration:

As you can imagine, maintaining status as a construction partner of choice within the local community requires a lot of crossing T's and dotting I's. It's vital that we maintain all our accreditations and carry out our legal responsibilities promptly.

What are we looking for in the bids and tenders assistant:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (essential).
  • Experience with Monday.Com (desirable).
  • Previous exposure to the construction industry (desirable).

What you'll need to bring to the role of Bids and Tenders assistant (Construction/Property)

  • Excellent Organisation Skills
  • A keen eye for attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • A desire to learn more about how the construction industry works

23 day holiday plus 1 per addition year up to 5 years Pension 5/3% after three months private medical
