Rate of Pay:
£12.05 per hour
Overnight Allowance
: Additional £48
The Role:
As an Events Technician, you will assist with the transportation of stock to various locations around our operational sites. This often involves staying at the venue for a few days or weeks to ensure the build-up goes smoothly. Your tasks will include erecting stages and seating for venues, using hand tools and specialist equipment. Specifically, you will:
- Install and service flip-up seats (similar to those in cinemas)
- Assemble and deconstruct staging equipment according to plans
- Deliver parts to site
- Engage in long-distance travel
- Promote safe working practices and Health & Safety awareness
- Secure components with bolts and screws to specification
- Work both independently and as part of a team
Our Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for a "hands-on" individual who isn't afraid of heavy lifting and working to tight deadlines. You should have experience with hand tools such as ratchets, spanners, and Allen keys. Additionally, the following skills and qualifications are desirable:
- Practical experience in Mechanical Engineering or a technical background
- Qualification in electrical installation (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a team player able to develop strong working relationships at all levels
- Valid driving license (essential), forklift truck license (advantageous)
- Willingness to travel and work away for long periods (including weekends as required)
- IT literacy
- Good administration skills
- CSCS card holder
