Payroll Assistant Manager

We are looking for an experienced, qualified CIPP Payroll professional in processing to join our Payroll team in Discovery Park, working on a hybrid basis. You will be responsible for a portfolio of payroll clients, managing the workflow of payroll and responding to clients' technical questions.

About the role

  • Support the planning, prioritising, and allocation of all relevant client payroll work within own and client's team.
  • Conduct payroll processing during peak times and delegate client work during periods of normal demand.
  • Review all payroll processing work of the team.
  • Supervise Seniors, Semi-Seniors and Assistants who are involved in processing of payroll.
  • Develop and build relationships internally for cross referral opportunities and to become a valued team member across the firm.

What we're looking for

  • CIPP qualified - essential
  • Payroll Centre BTEC - desirable
  • Ideally 5+ years in payroll processing
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Delegation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong eye for detail
