Preparation Assistant

Sytner Leicester is looking for a Trade Disposal Assistant to join their busy Preparation Team, helping to deliver the highest standard of vehicle presentation and preparation and champion the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.

You will be required to:

Take control of all non retail part exchange disposal, this can include making sure all relevant V5 and service histories are uploaded to our internal systems, control of transferring cars to our select operations. But mainly we need our trade disposal assistant to appraise, photograph and write up our internal Sytner electronic auction cars. This will need a keen eye for detail, and a flair for advertisement and marketing. We need to maximise the return from this revenue stream to the world of motor traders, it is important that we are accurate with any descriptions and faults, but accentuate the positive to make it attractive. In addition you will need to deal with the traders when they come to site to collect, organise invoicing through our admin team and ensure timely payment and collection.

As part of the wider preparation team from time to time you will need to add support to the preparation manager and team, these duties can include (but not limited to):-

  • Maintain the displays in our prestigious showrooms and our used car displays to BMW/ MINI audit standard.
  • Ensure the sales department and its customers receive cars that are prepared to the correct standards and are delivered on time with all fitted accessories.
  • To photograph all vehicles in appropriate surroundings to present the best opportunity for marketing and achieve manufacturer and Sytner photo ratio targets.
  • Supervision of battery charging and the production of price boards and environmental labels to comply with Government requirements.
  • If you are hard-working, organised and process driven, hold a full clean driving licence and have a good understanding of IT this could be the role for you.
  • To succeed in this role you will need to be able to work to deadlines, be a team player and be determined to deliver the highest standard of customer service.
