As the Buyer, you'll be vital in procuring key components for all production and maintenance needs. Building relationships with key suppliers along the way, ensuring SLA's and budget requirements are taken into account.
We are looking for experienced Buyer that has knowledge & experience of technical/engineering language & requirements.

About the role
Based in the lovely office in Accrington, you will be tasked with:
- Review MRP system information daily and act appropriately on agreed stock levels
- Identify gain sharing opportunities for new supplier agreements and implement these seeking to achieve improvements to pricing and call-off processes
- Place and expedite purchase orders where necessary
- Ensure that all issues requiring escalation are indeed escalated in a timely manner to minimise the knock-on effects on production.
- Actively benchmark and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the business achieves optimal value on materials
About you
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships combined with excellent communication
- Commercially astute with a proven ability to manage costs and meet budget goals
- Organisational skills and the ability to deliver high quality and timely output
- CIPS (desirable)
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Technical/Engineering experience & understanding
What's on offer
- Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (may be negotiable for highly experienced candidate)
- Bonus: Annual Group Bonus Scheme
- Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank, onsite parking, death in service
- Contract type: Permanent
- Hours: Monday to Friday
