The Role:

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a dynamic Sourcing Coordinator on behalf of our client in the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the sourcing and supply chain of FMCG products, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality goods to meet customer demand. This role requires a solid understanding of product lifecycles, costings, and manufacturing processes. The Sourcing Coordinator will collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, operations planning, marketing, logistics, finance, technical, and design, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the supply chain.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and manufacturers. Gathering and analysing market data is essential to assess supplier suitability and contribute to informed business decisions. You will also oversee the management of service providers, ensuring that they deliver performance in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with potential new and existing providers to build a diverse and cost-effective supplier base.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and the internal technical team to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
  • Support UK product teams through the product development process, from concept to production.
  • Conduct critical path analysis to optimise supply chain operations and reduce lead times.
  • Maintain open communication channels with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration across the business.
  • Gather essential information such as pricing, product availability, technical data, and market trends to drive informed decisions.
  • Facilitate the screening and approval process for new suppliers, ensuring they meet business criteria.
  • Perform administrative tasks including inbox management, procurement data maintenance, bid documentation preparation, and sample collection.
  • Adhere to company policies on Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Assist with any other procurement-related tasks as required by the Procurement Manager and Head of Procurement.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in sourcing, purchasing, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with managing international supply chains.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
