Title: Registered Manager - 4 Bed Children's Home (EBD)

Location: Cheshire

Salary: Up to 75,000 + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a 4-bed Children's Home specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), located in the heart of Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in supporting young people in Looked After Children (LAC) settings, who is ready to make a lasting difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of a 4-bed home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children with EBD.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the staff team, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and Children's Home Regulations.
  • Develop individual care plans, ensuring that all young people's emotional, physical, and social needs are met.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders, including social workers, local authorities, and families.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring the home operates efficiently within financial parameters.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Proven track record with Ofsted inspections, demonstrating good or outstanding outcomes.
  • Previous experience working in a Looked After Children (LAC) setting, with knowledge of EBD and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a dedicated care team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with external agencies.
  • A deep understanding of current legislation and standards in children's residential care.
