  • Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 p.a. plus SEN Allowance, dependent on experience

We are in search of an innovative and talented SEN Class Teacher to join a dedicated team at a partnering primary school in the Sandwell area. The successful candidate will work within the school's specialised ‘SEN NEST', focusing on a small group of mixed ability pupils with SEN needs.

The ideal start date for this role is October/November 2024, subject to satisfactory clearance checks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver excellent teaching practices within the SEN NEST, catering to a small group of pupils with diverse SEN needs.
  • Collaborate with a small team of dedicated staff to support, engage, and encourage pupils to thrive and develop.
  • Design and implement curriculum and strategic plans tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, ensuring their health and safety.
  • Use personal initiative to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique learning requirements of each pupil.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2.
  • Strong background in SEN with a track record of excellent teaching.
  • Personable, friendly, adaptable, and flexible in approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school's values and ethos.
  • Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
