Responsibilities of this role:
- You will play an integral part of the Fostering Service by monitoring and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of standards of care provided by the council's foster carers and Supported Lodging Hosts
- Identify strengths and gaps in skill levels and competency, considering any development areas in the foster carer assessment process and provision of support offered to carers.
- To ensure the effective quality of the Supervising Social Workers reports and practice.
- To Identify practice that is not delivering good outcomes and constructively challenge to improve practice.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
- Must have minimum of 2 years experience working as a Qualified social worker in a similar team
