Insight Employment are currently looking for a Shift Manager to work for a client of ours in Dunstable.
THIS IS PERMANANT POSITION
The Client: -
Our client is an online company suppling double gazed units to both retail and trade and were establishing in 2017.
The Role: -
The Shift Manager will be overseeing the daily operations and ensuring efficiency during the designated shift. The idea candidate will have experience in assembling, quality control, and continuous improvement processes.
Responsibilities of the job include: -
- Manage shift operations effectively to meet production targets.
- Oversee assembly processes and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Monitor and enhance business processes for efficiency.
- Planning and organizing production schedule.
- Assessing project and resource requirements.
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
- Overseeing production processes.
- Keep audit of materials and update purchasing manager.
- Supervising the work of production staff.
- Planning and Organizing staff shifts, Holiday and daily schedules.
Requirement: -
- Background in a glass industry would be a big advantage.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving operational goal.
- Confidence.
- Technical skills.

- Organization and efficiency.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- IT and numerical skills advantage.
- Team working skills.
- Very important hands-on approach covering floor.
Experience: -
- Production Scheduling
- Production Management at least 2 years
