Accounts Assistant

Brookson is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our Accountancy Services Department. Working as part of an accounting POD you will assist the Client Accountant and Lead Accountant in the production of statutory accounts.

Although this role is not heavily phone-based, you will be required to contact some customers to help them with escalated queries from our Business Advisory Team.

???????What will you be doing as an Accounts Assistant?

Working as part of a small, close knit and fast paced team the Accounts Assistant would be responsible for managing the day to day running of the accounts including reconciliations and VAT returns as well as ensuring all data on our finance system is up to date and accurate.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided with this role.hat experience are we looking for in an Accounts Assistant?

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience VAT and Sales Ledger reconciliations
  • An understanding of Director's Loans
  • Awareness of dividends and the relevant TAX implications
  • Experience setting up fixed assets
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, including Pivot Table, Formulas, and V-Look Ups
  • Qualified to AAT level 2 or 3???????

Desirable Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of Director's Loans
  • The desire to gain additional accountancy qualifications
