We are looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to drive the financial reporting and strategy of a commercial division. The successful candidate will be an effective financial business partner, providing insightful analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities, and supporting informed business decisions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Own all insight, analysis, and analytical reporting for the commercial division.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to prepare budgets and re-forecasts.
  • Ensure the delivery of a finance data set that is accurate and trusted by the Commercial Division.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting and data.
  • Lead financial projects with key stakeholders to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Participate in pricing strategies and projects, maximising value generation.
  • Manage financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for the commercial perimeter.
  • Assist and challenge the commercial team in monitoring expenditures to ensure budget adherence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly accounting closings.
  • Build and analyse financial reports, providing strategic insight.
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentaries on top-line performance.
  • Inform and advise the financial department of any changes in assumptions, budget deviations, financial risks, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in accounting and budget controlling.
  • Commercially focused with experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to speak French or motivation to learn would be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities using tools such as EPM, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting software would be an advantage.
  • A full valid driving licence and an in-date passport are essential.

Please note: This position is based in Folkestone. There will also be a requirement to travel to France on a regular basis
