English Teacher needed in Swindon!

Contract type - Permanent, Full Time

Start date - September 2024

Salary - £30,000.00 - £46,525.00 Annually (FTE) Main Scale/UP Scale

Location - Swindon

What are we looking for in an English Teacher:

This exciting and challenging post requires an enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and energetic individual with a strong track record. You will need to display a passion for English which is evident in your day to day classroom practice, and the ability to work in collaboration with other members of staff to develop and manage projects is essential. Applications from ECTs are welcome and encouraged.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering inspiring and engaging English lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Developing and implementing creative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Participating in curriculum development and school-wide literacy initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Experience in teaching English at the secondary level is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the English National Curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
