Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Greenwich. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping them to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students experiencing behavioural difficulties.
- Develop and implement individual behaviour plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance to ensure continuous improvement.
- Lead interventions and social skills sessions to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging them to engage in their education and make better choices.
- Assist in the management of classroom behaviour, supporting teachers in maintaining a productive learning environment.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to the school's behaviour management strategy.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or mentoring setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous.
