Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Greenwich. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping them to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students experiencing behavioural difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individual behaviour plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead interventions and social skills sessions to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging them to engage in their education and make better choices.
  • Assist in the management of classroom behaviour, supporting teachers in maintaining a productive learning environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to the school's behaviour management strategy.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or mentoring setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous.
