Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are working with an East Oxfordshire based school to help recruit a proactive Finance manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. This role is paying a salary of up to £50,512 per annum, is a full time office based role up to 37 hours per week with flexible working patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end process, preparing monthly management accounts to trial balance.
- Assist in preparing detailed external reports and year-end Trial Balance.
- Collaborate with budget holders on annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse monthly performance against plans and identify necessary actions.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage control accounts, including bank reconciliations and payroll records.
- Submit monthly pension and third-party returns.
- Work with auditors and implement recommendations.
Essential:
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified or part-qualified, or 5+ years in an accountancy environment.
- Experience in managing teams and performance management.
- Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
