Operations Manager Required!

Trading for over 100 years, our client is a leading supplier to the food and drink industry.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experience and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee their production and technical/quality departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest quality standards, and maintaining a safe and productive working environment. The Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet company objectives and deliver outstanding service to our customers.

This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm based in Basildon, Essex.

Package:

  • Company pension scheme
  • Salary £50,000 to 60,000 (DOE)
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays

Operations Manager - Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Production and Technical/Quality departments, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise production processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Supply Chain and Sales, to align production with business goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Set clear objectives and performance goals for team members, providing regular feedback and support.

Operations Manager - Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within the food and drink sector
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
