Cost/Sales Engineer

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

  • Acquire new customers.
  • Drive revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling, particularly in the areas of LV/MV switchgear and green energy solutions.
  • Ensure customer retention.
  • Contribute to the overall success of our sales team and business objectives.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in selling technology solutions, particularly in the energy sector, and your ability to build strong relationships with senior executives will be critical to meeting our ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Selling: Support sales executives in solution selling, with a focus on LV/MV switchgear and green energy projects, within the prospect account base.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and present financial business cases associated with each sales opportunity, including energy efficiency and sustainability metrics.
  • Customer Alignment: Successfully match customer pain points and requirements with appropriate technology and energy solutions.
  • Presentations & Demos: Create and deliver compelling presentations and demos that clearly communicate the unique value proposition of our LV/MV switchgear and green energy offerings.
  • RFP/RFI Management: Manage all technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses, ensuring alignment with client needs, particularly in energy projects.
  • Client Communication: Effectively relay client needs to R&D teams for potential product enhancements, especially those related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Gather and document competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and positioning in the energy sector.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer with a strong track record in selling complex enterprise solutions, especially in LV/MV switchgear and green energy projects.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain and present complex concepts, including technical energy solutions, in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Technical Background: Solid understanding of software development, web technologies, and energy systems, with hands-on experience being a strong advantage.
  • Creativity: Strong presentation and creativity skills to differentiate our offerings, particularly in the green energy sector.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales efforts in the energy field.
  • Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a background in a numerate discipline or energy-related field.
