Orka Financial is partnering with a global business based in Reading who are seeking to hire an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role supports core accounting activities across a group of operating entities and is ideal for a candidate who is looking for their next step.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support across several key accounting areas, including fixed assets, inventory, intangible assets, and leases
- Accurately process staff expense claims in accordance with internal guidelines
- Assist with monthly financial close processes, including journal entries and reporting across multiple business units
- Post journal entries related to asset acquisitions, disposals, and other ledger movements
- Collaborate with internal teams across the business to resolve finance-related queries
- Maintain up-to-date records in the finance systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
What We're Looking For:
- Actively studying towards AAT /ACCA or CIMA,
- Experience in an administrative finance function would be an advantage
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail and solid written communication skills
- A collaborative team player who is proactive and eager to learn
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
