Prodrive Recruitment are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join a small, friendly team within their client's engineering company based in Pershore. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various power and hand tools.
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape metal components using power tools and hand tools
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures or equipment
- Weld components using various welding techniques such as MIG & TIG welding
- Dressing and finishing
- Jig making
- Marking and identifying materials- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance- One off prototype work as well as medium batch production
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role (min 1 year preferred)
- MIG Welding (min 1 year preferred)
- TIG Welding (min 1 year preferred)
- Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations- Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in metal fabrication- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications- Experience with sheet metal fabrication
- Ability to work with and weld Mild Steel/Stainless Steel/ Aluminium to a high quality- Able to dress welds to a high standard and experience in graining Stainless Steel by hand (desirable but not essential)
