Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious ESG & Compliance Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the Managing Director, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
- Industry Representation: Represent the company on trade bodies and relevant industry events
- Conference Participation: Attend retailer conferences and meetings to align the ESG strategy with industry standards.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure up-to-date retailer compliance and report on ethical audits across supply chains, focusing on human rights and environmental due diligence.
- Data Management: Maintain current retailer grower lists and monitor relevant ESG data.
- Project Monitoring: Oversee and report on retailer projects related to social and environmental issues.
- ESG Reporting: Develop reporting mechanisms with Retailers for GHG emissions, Living Wage, Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance premiums, collaborating with sustainability and supply teams.
- Labour Supplier Audits: Manage annual labour supplier audits for compliance.
- ESG Data Presentation: Provide ESG data and reports to stakeholders and retailers.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead on best-in-class ESG strategy and maintain ESG policies and procedures.
- Sustainability Goals: Collaborate with the Sustainability Team to shape future sustainability goals.
