Butler Rose is pleased to be working with a leading Manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes with the recruitment of as Accounts Assistant to join their small but efficient team. We are seeking candidates with Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience to take charge of key financial processes, including maintaining the sales ledger, managing payroll and ensuring compliance with government reporting. This is a pivotal role supporting the Finance Manager, with regular interaction across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently managing and maintaining sales ledgers, reducing overdue debts, and processing payments.
- Accurately processing monthly payroll for UK-based employees, managing pensions, and ensuring timely tax submissions.
- Ensuring accurate and timely month-end reconciliations.
- Overseeing VAT and other required government reporting.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in debt collection and payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of financial software and system including strong Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.
- Previous experience in HMRC reporting and payroll systems is essential.
