A mainstream secondary school in Hampton is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to lead their SEND Unit. About the Role:
- As a SEND Teacher, you will lead the SEND team, working closely with a group of experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to provide daily support to students.
- As a SEND Teacher, you will adapt the mainstream curriculum to make it more accessible for students with learning difficulties, ensuring all students can participate and progress in their education.
- As a SEND Teacher, you will work with students with a range of SEND needs, helping them to develop their academic skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive environment.
- As a SEND Teacher, you will collaborate with senior staff to ensure the school's SEND provision meets both student needs and statutory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- A PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are required.
- Previous experience working with SEND students is essential, with a strong understanding of how to adapt the curriculum for students with learning difficulties.
- Confidence in leading a team of LSAs and working closely with other teachers to provide the best support for students.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced Child-Only DBS check.
- Ideally, candidates will reside in or near Hampton, or have reliable transportation to commute to the area.
