We ae recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for a specialty consumer products / FMCG business based in Luton on a contract or permanent basis.
Reporting to the Finance Director your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Finance Department including the leadership of a team of three.
- Production of monthly management pack.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets in conjunction with Finance Director
- Prepare stock valuations
- FX and treasury management
- Approve draft journal entries for processing
- Manage cash weekly against financing requirements using a 13-week cashflow forecast
- Prepare rolling quarterly financial forecasts for review and approval by the senior leadership team.
- VAT and Corporation Tax review and approval.
- Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
Your profile:
- A qualified Accountant with experience of working in an SME environment with specific exposure to a business which trades products / commodities internationally i.e. Consumer products / FMCG.
- Strong leadership profile, able to manage, motivate and mentor a small finance team.
- Technically strong with strong cashflow / treasury / fx experience.
- Interpersonally strong with the ability to manage strong internal stakeholders.
- Able to start at short notice. This is initially a contract assignment, however there is an opportunity for this role to become a permanent position.
Working pattern - 4 days in the office.
