National Buying Administration Assistant

As a Buying Administration Assistant within the National Non-Food Specialbuy team, you will be responsible for inputting and maintaining accurate data across multiple systems. Alongside this, you will also be required to provide ad-hoc administrative support to the wider business to ensure all data and record-keeping meets the required standards. You will work closely and form effective working relationships with GB/IE colleagues across all departments and the ALDI global network.

This is a diverse role where you will complete a variety of tasks concurrently, so the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload is key. Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to be flexible and resilient in a changing environment will be essential to succeed in this role. A keen eye for detail and a passion for quality are crucial in order to maintain a high level of accuracy. Confident communication skills and a collaborative mentality will be necessary to work efficiently with colleagues to solve problems and share best practise in pursuit of a common goal.

Your New Role

  • Creation and maintenance of product information within multiple systems (including SAP)
  • Focus on accurate data entry and maintenance of product information
  • Working closely with Buying teams to ensure product set up is completed accurately and on time
  • Cleansing and updating records in systems to ensure the most accurate in-house data, following data entry procedures
  • Keep information confidential
  • Respond to queries for information and updating systems where appropriate
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies

About You

Essential:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Outlook
  • Must be detail orientated, deadline driven and able to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and with a wider team
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Go above and beyond your duties when required
  • Work as a Team with the end goal in mind, always sharing best practices
  • Have a positive "can do" attitude, and show resilience in busy periods
  • Work to achieve a high-quality standard of work in all tasks
  • Additional computer training or certification will be desirable

Desirable:

  • SAP Ariba experience

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 day a week remote working
