Payroll Administrator Part Time

My clients are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their esteemed payroll team in Bridgend.

You will play a key role in the precise preparation and processing of payroll. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely and accurate payroll reporting and maintaining reliable payroll records.

The role itself is Part-time ranging from 20 - 25 hours per week. The specific hours and days are negotiable. This is a hybrid role - 1 day on site per week.

Main Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll on various schedules: weekly, bi-weekly, four-weekly, and monthly, as required.
  • Calculating taxes and National Insurance contributions.
  • Preparing PAYE reports.
  • Handling RTI submissions.
  • Preparing P45 and P60 forms for end-of-year and new year processes.
  • Setting up new employees in the payroll system.
  • Addressing payroll queries from clients.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and related legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • High numerical ability and accurate data entry skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.
  • Experience with payroll software is advantageous but not essential.
  • Professional, diligent, and ethical approach to work.
  • Preferred experience in payroll administration, although comprehensive training will be provided.
