People Business Partner – London / South East

  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • Hybrid (3 days per week visiting sites or branches within assigned regions)
  • Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum

We are seeking a pragmatic and commercially minded People Business Partner to join our team in leading the strategic and tactical delivery of the People plan to the business across assigned regions (London / South East).

As the business continues to work through a significant but exciting change programme, the People team is undergoing change of its own. Focused on efficiency and modernisation, the department has spent time ensuring foundations are in the right position to build from. Investment is being made into our systems, processes and people and it is an exciting time to join our dedicated team.

While regular travel is required to engage with the branch network, it's not necessary to constantly cover the entire breadth of your regions. The primary focus should be on strategic in-branch engagement, building strong relationships with local teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting in the delivery of the People Strategy
  • Ensuring the delivery of pragmatic, commercial and people centric solutions
  • Supporting and coaching managers on all things people
  • Partnering leaders in the design, scope and delivery of large and complex people change
  • Delivering key people initiatives across the broad people spectrum including workforce planning, organisational design, talent acquisition, talent management, reward and engagement
  • Being data driven in both your questioning and decision making

This role is ideal for a candidate who:

  • Has experience leading large-scale people change initiatives.
  • Excels in stakeholder management and coaching.
  • Thinks critically and commercially about people decisions.
  • Has worked in large organizations, preferably with a branch or store network.
  • Can influence and challenge decisions effectively.
  • Leads and motivates teams through change.
  • Is comfortable with frequent regional travel and visiting multiple locations on a regular basis.
