We are collaborating with a well-established business located just outside Loughborough to recruit a full-time, permanent Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established but growing business in a pivotal role, overseeing the transactional finance team and providing crucial management information to senior leadership.

Our client is a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing business that has excelled in a competitive market by prioritising continuous improvement and best practices. They now seek an ambitious Finance Manager to lead their team and support the Finance Director.

About the Role

This role is ideal for an ambitious Finance Manager eager to contribute to the ongoing growth of both the business and the finance department through process improvement and exceptional people management. You will upskill the team, enhance the finance function, lead a hands-on transactional team, and provide key management and financial accounting data to senior leadership. Your responsibilities will also include supporting budgeting and forecasting analysis and ensuring the completion of statutory accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Management of the transactional finance team (purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control), providing hands-on cover when needed
  • Payroll management
  • VAT returns
  • Month-end duties
  • Ad hoc finance responsibilities and occasional project work

About You

This role offers significant scope for you to make your own and will suit you if you are part or fully CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified or have gained equivalent experience at the Finance Manager level. You will be dedicated to maximising productivity through best practice accounting and a continuous improvement mindset. Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential. You will be a strong and proven people manager with a history of leading teams for several years.
