This company is a award winning start up Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operating throughout the UK. We are looking for a Legal and HR Manager to join the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance
You will be collaborating closely with our retained law firm:
- Ensure the company operates in accordance with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with franchisees, suppliers, landlords, and other stakeholders.
- Protect and manage trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights of the brand.
- Provide guidance on legal matters affecting franchise operations, including employment law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
Human Resources Management
- Review all staff contracts and handbooks to ensure they are comprehensive and that the company's interests are protected.
- Supervise and lead a team of employees within the Head Office, ensuring they perform their roles effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinate training programs to enhance team skills and ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and support for improvement.
Health & Safety Oversight
- Handle and oversee all Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Ensure staff receive necessary training and that risks are mitigated.
- Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A robust background in Human Resources with a comprehensive grasp of company law.
- Previous experience in roles such as HR Manager, Company Legal, Company Solicitor, Employee Relations, or Contracts Manager.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
