Teaching Assistant - One-to-One and Classroom Support
Location: Co-Educational Secondary School in Westminster
Are you a dedicated and motivated individual with a passion for supporting students' learning? We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Westminster. This role involves providing one-to-one assistance to a student for part of the day and offering general classroom support for the remainder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to a student with specific learning needs for 1-2 hours daily.
- Help the student set and achieve academic goals and assist with daily tasks.
- Work alongside the teacher to implement a personalized learning plan.
- Offer emotional and academic encouragement to help the student thrive.
- Monitor and report the student's progress to the teacher.
- Support teaching across mainstream classrooms for the rest of the school day.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and help students with classwork and homework.
- Contribute to fostering a positive learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, an advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
