Warehouse Manager

As the Warehouse Manager, you'll be responsible for all warehouse related activities, team members and their daily activities. Your primary duties will include planning, coordinating and controlling all warehouse processes to make sure products are delivered on time. Managing the warehouse team to ensure stock packaging and customer packaging are stored, maintained and supplied to the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate closely with Production Manager to schedule all works and prioritise accordingly.
  • Maintain and drive high quality product standards.
  • Closely manage team activities and implement efficiency improvements as required.
  • Co-ordinate business logistics including finished products, waste and recycling, transporting raw materials etc.
  • Manage the off-site warehouse and ensure same standards as main site.
  • Set out training plans as required for all direct reports.
  • Ensure all new employees are correctly inducted and onboarding training is planned and executed.
  • Working closely with Production, Purchasing and other relevant departments to organise the efficient handling of raw materials, work in progress (WIP) and finished goods.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager and lead with the company stock takes.
  • Communicate any warehouse challenges to senior manager when required.
  • Carry out annual safety training for Warehouse and Production Teams.
  • Provide holiday cover for the Production Manager when required.
  • Plan weekly vehicle schedule. Ensure effective use of company vehicles and resource.
  • Complete the annual driver assessment checks every 6 and 12 months.
  • Work closely with Quality Manager to ensure all business accreditations are adhered too.
  • Monitor and enforce department and business Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements.
  • Arrange yearly appraisals and catch ups with the team. Identifying opportunity for improvement, targets and or new responsibilities.
  • Create Warehouse and Health and Safety reports as required by the business. Including Near misses and accidents.
  • Create and update storage and warehouse floor plans and standards including product line capacity.
  • Work with Quality Manager to ensure Warehouse H&S and quality standards are met.
