Part time Adminstrator

My Client in Wokingham is looking for a very organised Part time Administrator, ideally 25 hours per week, to join their energetic and committed team looking after one of their divisions ,with support from the Purchasing Manager and Managing Director. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys managing their own time.

The Main role of the Administrator is to:-

  • Deal with all quote requests, speaking to suppliers to obtain quotes ( quite a lot from the Middle East) and sending quotes to customers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the database and keeping the quote request/order log up to date.
  • Process customer orders and place orders with suppliers in UK and America.
  • Chase up suppliers for quotes and orders.
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Liaise with transport and packing companies to arrange collections and deliveries as well as deal with custom documentation.
  • Smaller orders to be packed and shipped from. (receive them, check them and send them back out, no heavy lifting)
  • Prepare and send weekly report

We are looking for candidates who have the following attributes :)

  • Outgoing personality. Can get on well with a wide variety of people and quickly.
  • Self-Motivated as well as being a team player. Ability to work alone without direction but also fits well into the team.
  • Technical ability. (Understands part numbers)
  • Curiosity. Good at problem solving
  • Administrative skills
  • Decisive. Good at making decisions within an agreed set of boundaries without constant referral.
  • Conscientious. Enjoy seeing a job through to the finish.
  • Time Keeping. Manage work in a timely manner and stick to timescales identified.

Experience / Qualifications.

  • Customer / Supplier Interaction. Someone who has had experience with both customers and suppliers in a customer service role and or a purchasing role. Both would be required and are highly sought.
  • Computer Literacy. High skills in computer packages such as excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe etc.
  • Telephone/Video Calls. Good communication skills either by phone or video link.

This is a lovely role which would suit someone who would like to work 25 hours per week, preferably everyday. The office is open 7.30-4.30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30 to 12.30 on a Friday so any hours between these times would be perfect.

The salary is between £17,000 and £19,000 with lots of lovely benefits including 24 days holiday, ( they are also closed for Christmas) free, onsite parking.
