Learning Support Worker

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people's education? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Worker to join our Alternative Provision Oxfordshire-based College. You will be working alongside students aged 5 to 16, helping them overcome barriers to learning and succeed in school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Students: Provide one-on-one and group support to re-engage students with their learning.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Attend meetings and work with families to support students' safeguarding needs.
  • Skill Development: Utilise special skills such as therapeutic mentoring, mental health first aid, and managing challenging behaviour to aid students' learning.

Candidate Profile:

  • Quality Support and Experience: The ability to provide quality support with knowledge in coaching, mentoring, mediation, and leading/supporting learning.
  • Adaptable Approach: A flexible, resilient, and enthusiastic attitude to working with children with SEMH/ASD/Mental Health difficulties.
