CNC Machinist

We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components.

Must be able to work 3 shifts, shift allowance is payable when working backs 15% and nights 20%

The person

 Flexbile attitude towards job rotation and further training is essential.

 Previous experience working on a dress machine would be beneficial but not essential.

 Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector would be beneficial but

not essential.

 Previous experience operating handheld tools would be beneficial but not essential.

 Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.

 Previous welding experience would be beneficial but not essential.

 Effective communicator capable of two-way communication.

 A team player being able to work together to achieve targets and meet deadlines.

 Confident in identifying business improvements and effectively communicating ideas.

 Proactive mindset and an ability to work on individual tasks.

 A safety conscious attitude working towards the 5S methodology and the 5 Why

methodology.

 Comfortable asking for assistance when needed in order to achieve good outputs.

 Quality focused and comfortable raising quality concerns or queries.

 Good attention to detail.

 NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or similar discipline is essential.

Job role

 Operating fanuc robots.

 Following part set up sheets.

 Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders.

 Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and

pre-operation check sheets.

 Documentation completion.

 Manual handling tasks.

 Following engineering drawings.

 Weld repairs.

 Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards.

 Inspect all equipment to ensure it's in a safe working condition.

 Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary

adjustments to produce a better result.

 Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
