3rd Line Support - Inside IR35:
We are seeking a 3rd Line Support to join an exciting client's team on a temporary basis. You will need experience working in third line support or as an infrastructure engineer. As an 3rd Line support your main responsibilities will be supporting Infrastructure solutions across the business: provide expertise in hardware, software, and user support, manage scanning and printing services, network and cybersecurity, collaborate with Infrastructure Vendors for service provision and issue resolution, support all IT services across 5 sites, enhance team professionalism and technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing IT Projects
- Provide local and remote desktop support ensuring deliverables are met
- Resolve various infrastructure issues including but not limited to:
- Windows servers (virtual and physical) and PC environments.
- On-premises and cloud-hosted solutions.
- Communications systems - LAN, WAN, mobile, and softphone.
- Security - cyber, user application, and network.
- Firewall, antivirus, and associated elements of security.
- Patching of Windows and core applications.
- Implementation and maintenance of software and hardware solutions.
- Work with customers and end users
- Undertake system testing for new and periodic application review.
- Perform environment health checks and lead remedial activities.
- Assist in coordinating changes to software configurations.
- Deliver all work in accordance with change control procedures.
Essential Experience and Skills Required:
- Experience with the following: Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange and SharePoint.
- Experience working with PC, Laptops, Printers, LAN, WAN, SAN, Server, Disaster Recovery and Server Room operations
- Experience working with Dell Pcs and Laptops
- Experience with the following: teamworking, working under pressure and delivering results on time, incident and problem management
- Good Communication skills
- Be able to quickly absorb and understand complex processes and systems.
You must have an understanding of:
- Windows workstation and server operating systems.
- Virtualisation technologies for servers.
- SAN and backup technologies.
- Security-related technologies including firewall, antivirus, and web monitoring technologies (and associated procedures).
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity execution.
- General voice systems,
- Mobile device management
- Data loss prevention
