Controls Engineer

We are working with a client who are leading the way in subsea technology and offshore projects. With a reputation for delivering cutting-edge solutions, The client are expanding their team to take on new and exciting challenges in the subsea cable lay sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Controls Engineer to join the dynamic team for a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

Role Overview:

As a Contract Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control systems for subsea cable lay equipment. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our subsea projects. This role is pivotal in maintaining our high standards of quality and performance in challenging offshore environments.

Key Requirements:

  • PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)
  • Designing of SCADA/HMI applications
  • Design of Ethernet and serial networks
  • Manufacture and assembly support
  • Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)
  • Client support - on-site and remote (occasional site travel preferred)
  • Peer review of engineering designs
  • Experience level - ability to work on projects without direct supervision. 5+ years.
