Our client, a public sector organisation located in the area of Leek, ST13, is seeking a caring and dedicated Caretaker to join their team. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to the well-being of others while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment.
Rate from £11.63PH
Shifts are 7AM-2:00PM, and on Saturdays a split shift of 7AM-2:00PM, returning at 5:00PM-5:00PM to lock up of premises.
This is a temporary role starting 24th August.
In this role, your main duties will include:
- Ensuring the building is open and securely locked as and when required
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs
- Responding to requests for assistance from staff and visitors
- Monitoring and ensuring the security of the premises
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate team members
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in a similar position desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and flexible attitude towards work
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement solutions
- Must be reliable and punctual
