Select are currently recruiting for Glass Operatives to join one of our lovely clients in Catfield, Norfolk
Ideally, our client is looking for people who have had experience in working within Glass Processing however this is not essential as full training will be given.
As the Glass Operative you will be required to assist in the production of glass products for the Marine industry.
You will be trained to read/understand the Engineering drawings highlighting the product requirements. Must be able to lift and manipulate the glass pieces during the assembly process.
You must be willing to learn and be capable of working both as part of a team and on your own, aiming to help increase the output of the department whilst maintaining good housekeeping.
The successful candidate will undergo training to collaborate with the team and will eventually work independently after receiving full training in CAD data. Once fully trained, the successful candidate will also receive training in various areas of the glass plant, including glass cutting, glass grinding, glass printing, and glass toughening.
Applicants must be flexible in their working patterns as 2 shift rotation, night shift and weekend working will be required. Shifts are Monday to Friday with a shift rotation of 0600 to 1400 and then 1400 to 2200 paying £11.50 +15% shift allowance.
