Careers and Employability Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated Careers and Employability Advisor to join our team in West London. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and requires a commitment of 18 hours per week, from Wednesday to Friday, with some evenings and weekends, especially during peak enrolment periods.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide impartial careers education, information, advice, and guidance to a diverse student body.
- Ensure the careers programme aligns with all eight Gatsby benchmarks.
- Offer careers and employability advice on both a drop-in and appointment basis.
- Assist students in developing employability skills, including CV writing, application forms, and interview techniques.
- Coordinate and support UCAS procedures.
- Deliver workshops on job search strategies, apprenticeships, higher education options, and more.
- Maintain continuous professional development to stay informed on current employment and education issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate student progression.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Level 6 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), Careers Guidance, or a related area.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Proven experience in providing careers advice to a diverse range of clients.
- Knowledge of educational and employment progression routes.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in designing and delivering effective workshops.
- Strong IT skills and experience with careers information resources.
