Who We Are Looking For:

  • Location: Aberdeen (50/50 hybrid working)
  • Work Schedule: Full Time 37.5hrs

KCA Deutag is seeking an experienced professional, enthusiastic to continue the development of their accounting career and join us an Assistant Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to be supported by a Team that fosters a positive and collaborative work environment and offer the potential for support through professional accountancy qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and check sales invoices for various North Sea Clients.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, review and explain variances for various North Sea operations.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations for review.
  • Preparation and input of journal entries as required.
  • Ensure that vendor invoices are charged to the clients on a timely basis.
  • Assist with client and statutory audits - providing information and answering any queries which may arise.
  • Preparation of Aged Debt Analysis, follow up and reporting for Group Purposes.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and regular forecasts for the UK operations as required.
  • Where required as Action Party, close out actions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with all relevant Group Management Systems and where applicable legislative and client procedures.

Minimum Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • SCQF Level 8 (HND or equivalent) in Accounting or relevant discipline.
  • Understanding of accruals, prepayments and journal entries.

Previous Experience:

  • Experience within an Accounts or Finance Team.
  • Experience of variance analysis.
  • Experience of balance sheet preparation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • SAP software experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
