We are seeking a Multi-skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing both reactive and proactive maintenance on factory machinery and infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules and promoting safe working practices.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance on factory machinery and infrastructure to ensure minimum disruption to production schedules.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and perform preventative and planned maintenance activities.
  • Undertake routine electrical inspections and complete repairs as required, utilising both mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Install new equipment and work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Source, select, and order alternative equipment for rapid repair of production machinery and plant.
  • Develop maintenance schedules to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Coordinate with contractors, evaluate Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), and create permits for high-risk activities.
  • Use HAZOP evaluation techniques for the identification, selection, and inspection of critical equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship NVQ3 – HNC Diploma.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations plus Compex Cert Ex01-06.
  • Portable Appliance Testing trained.
  • 2 years of mechanical/electrical experience, preferably in an environment where hazardous or flammable chemicals are handled.
  • Experience with permit to work systems, writing method statements, and risk assessments.
