Senior Finance Technician

£17 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract (6 Months)
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Finance Technician in Lincoln. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.
The job:
- To assist Budget Holders to improve performance, efficiency and value for money of the services they manage
- To build resilience by providing support to: VAT officer, Treasury Manager, Schools Help desk, capital accountant, financial appraisals, etc
- Developing and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with commissioners, their teams/partners and across service areas as appropriate
- Reviewing and challenging Budget Holder outturn projections ensuring, in particular, that budgets are realistic
- Identification of potential areas for delivery of future efficiency savings
The candidate:
- AAT membership or equivalent experience
- Public sector experience is desirable
- Good ICT skills
