Accounts & Payroll Assistant
- Job Type: Part-time (up to 30 hours per week, flexible hours)

- Salary: £18 p/hour
Reed are recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Assistant to work alongside the Accounts & Payroll Manager. This role not only offers a strong progression pathway into a leadership position but also provides a flexible working schedule tailored to your needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Complete and input weekly timesheets.
- Assist in the monthly payroll process.
- Log and distribute purchase invoices for approval and address any related queries.
- Input purchase invoices into Sage accounting software.
- Manage petty cash and credit card expenses.
- Maintain employee holiday entitlement records within Excel and Sage payroll.
- Handle accounts department filing and archiving.
- Prepare CIS returns and manage sales ledger credit control.
- Assist in the supplier payment process.
- Perform various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the accounts department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Accounts and Payroll software, particularly Sage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- An Accounting Qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Suitable candidates must have significant experience in both accounts and payroll.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, highly organised, advanced numerical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
