QC Analyst
Reed Scientific is pleased to be working with a world-leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality biological reagents, is seeking a QC Analyst to join their vibrant and dynamic team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be involved in QC analysis for new products, testing biologically active compounds, and custom synthesis work for both internal and external projects.

Day to Day of the role:
- Work safely and responsibly, adhering to COSHH regulations and maintaining laboratory tidiness.
- Gain proficiency in QC and analytical techniques through on-the-job training and external courses.
- Conduct QC tests and perform second-person checks, using techniques such as HPLC, GC, SFC, MS, NMR, FT-IR, UV/Vis, and more.
- Engage in method development and validation as required.
- Write and amend SOPs, test methods, specifications, and other documents.
- Calibrate QC laboratory equipment and prepare stocks of reagents, solvents, chemicals, and consumables.
- Maintain high standards of laboratory work and documentation, including adherence to GMP standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in chemistry or related science.
- Must be proficient in HPLC and method development.
- Minimum of a 1 year+ QC experience (3 years + desirable). Any GMP environment experience advantageous, but not essential.
- Detailed knowledge of analytical chemistry.
- High level of personal productivity and independent work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative teamwork skills.
