Legal Secretary - Litigation

Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for an exciting new opportunity in Litigation? Our client, a prestigious law firm, is currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team. With a focus on general secretarial and administrative duties, this role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment alongside accomplished solicitors. If you have excellent communication and organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional support, then this could be the perfect role for you!

Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30-5:00pm

Salary: £33,9000

Fully in the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising files (paper and electronic), ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Managing client care, including sending client care letters and liaising with existing and new clients
  • Creating and maintaining electronic documents and paper files
  • Typing and completing case-related forms and documentation, utilising digital dictation
  • Organising required documents for hearings, trials, and mediation
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, and the courts
  • Assisting with bill preparation and general administrative tasks
  • Undertaking ad hoc legal research and diary management

Skills and Qualifications:

- Essential: Legal experience and knowledge of Litigation

  • Excellent audio and copy typing skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with excellent document management and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management (desirable)
  • Minimum 3-4 years of previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant
