Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Plymouth
Job Type: Full-Time – 40 hrs per week – 12 months FTC
My client in Plymouth is looking for a motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join their team for 12 months to cover MAT leave and to contribute to their growing organisation.
Job Summary: The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a variety of human resources functions, including on/off boarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. They will also be a huge support to the managers. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and offboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, from candidate selection and onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems and employee development programs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies, and maintain accurate employee records.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and professional development opportunities for employees.
- HR Policies: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- CIPD 3/5 very desirable
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
